Our frames are Made to Size, Large and Small, Odd sized and Standard sizes, from a variety of hardwoods, some rare and hard to find. They are all solid wood and must be seen to be appreciated. Our best-buys are not just sale price cheap, but very inexpensive yet are still high quality. Our hardwoods include Birdseye Maple, Tiger Maple or Curly Maple, Tiger Oak or Curly Oak, American Black Cherry, Black Walnut, Dark Hickory, White Ash and Oak. Most will have a hand rubbed finish with attention paid to detail.

Our high quality moldings are also used to make framed beveled mirrors. All have a beautiful finish and some have a hand rubbed finish. They are joined at corners with glue and "V" nails to make a very solid joint. The larger picture frames will have angle brackets on the back side of the corners for added strength.

To fill your art work, Needle Point, Cross Stitch or any specialty do it yourself project needs our custom size wooden frames can be ordered with our mounting and hanging supplies. Crystal clear acrylic, foamcore back board, acid free matting board and hanging kits are all available. You can also order a beveled or plain mirror with wooden backboard and hanging kit. You can pick from our selection of Crescent Decorative Mat Boards in a variety of colors or Conservation Grade matte as well as 100% Rag matte (Museum Grade).

-- Frame Only -- With this choice you will receive a Custom Made Wooden Picture Frame, in virtually any size you could want. Your frame will be shipped fully assembled unless it is Clearly Stated when you add it to the shopping cart that it isn't. Frames over this size (width + width + length = 144") will be shipped unassembled all other frames are shipped assembled.

-- Frame Size -- Frame size, is the size of the recessed opening on the back of the frame. Your frame opening will be Approx. 1/8" larger than ordered size. This is the industry standard, it allows room for your art to fit in the back of the frame. Example: If you have an 11" x 14" picture, you will need to order an 11" x 14" frame. It will be made approx. 11 1/8" x 14 1/8"

-- Figuring the "Outside Size" of Your Frame -- The "outside size" of your frame will be bigger by approx. (double the molding width less 1/2"). This is the space a frame will take on your wall, it is not the size to order. Example #1: If you order an 11 x 14 frame made with 3" wide molding, your frames outside size will be approx. 5 1/2" wider & higher, for an "outside size" of approx. 16 1/2" x 19 1/2" Example #2: If you order an 11 x 14 frame made with 1 1/2" wide molding, your frames outside size will be approx. 2 1/2" wider & higher, for an "outside size" of approx. 13 1/2" x 16 1/2"

-- Frame Assembly -- For added strength your picture frame will come completely assembled with the mitered corners joined with glue and V-nails. Larger size frames will have angle brackets (Shown Below) on the back side of corners for added strength.

-- Shipping -- We ship frames with FedEx Ground, frame samples are sent with the US Post. Custom Picture Frames are normally shipped within a few Days of receiving an order. We take great care packing frames for shipping. Frames bigger than about 24" x 30" will be shipped in a sturdy wooden framed box. -- Large Frame Shipping -- If your frame is larger than (Width + Width + Height = 144" or more) it will be shipped unassembled with biscuits glued in one side of each corner and angle brackets. Your frame will be drilled and ready for your quick and easy assembly. All you will need is a screwdriver. You will be clearly notified in the shopping cart if your frame will be shipped unassembled. These large frames will be shipped in heavy duty cardboard tubes. -- Shipping Damage -- It is rare, but if your order is damaged in shipment we will replace it at no cost to you. Call or E-mail us right away. We insure all shipments. In order for us to collect on the insurance you will need to call FedEx and tell them that you have damaged merchandise. They will come back and pick-up the box and frame to evaluate the cause and send the box back to us.

-- Frame Samples -- With this choice you will receive a sample piece of the molding shown on page. It will be a small piece to show the color and shape. It will be shipped with the US Post.

-- Frame With Foamcore Backboard -- With this choice your frame will come with Foamcore Backboard cut to the frame size. It will be held in the frame with clips that may be bent up and re-bent down to hold your art work in place.

-- Frame With Crystal Clear Acrylic -- With this choice your frame will come with Crystal Clear Acrylic (Plexi-Glass) cut to fit your frame. The acrylic will be held in your frame with clips that may be bent up and re-bent down to hold your art work in place. Our acrylic is .100 thick (2.5 mil, same as premium glass). It comes with a protective film that you can easily peal off. NOTE: Our acrylic blocks 92% of harmful UV rays. This is very close to the protection you get from much more expensive conservation glass.

-- Framed Regular Rectangular Mirror -- With this choice you will receive a framed mirror in the "frame size" you have chosen. NOTE: You are ordering the "Frame Size" -- The outside size of the frame will be bigger -- See "Outside Frame Size" Above. Our Custom Framed Mirrors have a wooden backboard, are assembled and ready to hang with included hanging kit (Shown Below). NOTE: We recommend having a professional hang your mirror as they can be quite heavy.

-- Framed Rectangular Beveled Mirror -- With this choice you will receive a "Framed Beveled Mirror" in the "frame size" and "bevel size" you have chosen. NOTE: You are ordering the "Frame Size" -- The outside size of the frame will be bigger -- See "Outside Frame Size" Above. You have four bevel sizes to choose from (3/4" bevel), (1" bevel) are 3/16" thick glass, and (1-1/4" bevel), (1 1/2" bevel) are 1/4" thick glass. Our Custom Framed Beveled Mirrors have a wooden backboard, are assembled and ready to hang with included hanging kit (Shown Below). NOTE: We recommend having a professional hang your mirror as they can be quite heavy.

-- Picture Frame Hanging Kit -- Our Hanging Kit contains two hangers with screws, plastic coated wire and wall hook for a professional finish to your frame. Your frame will be pre-drilled for both horizontal and vertical hanging. The only tool you will need is a screwdriver.

--Clips to hold a Stretched Canvas --   These clips are screwed into the back of the frame, reach over a stretched canvas and hold it into the back of a regular frame. The only tool you will need is a screwdriver.

-- Return Policy -- Everything on our site is custom made to order. Prints, Frames, Acrylic, Foamboard, Mirrors, Matting etc. and can not be re-stocked. We only accept returns if we make a mistake with your order (wrong size, wrong molding, wrong matting color etc.) or if it is damaged in shipment. In either case we will replace it immediately! NOTE: Our solid wood frames are of the highest quality, fit to be displayed anywhere. Our "best-buy" frames are priced low but the quality is still high. To date (21 years) we have had only three frames returned for any reason other than shipping damage, and that is rare. We go to great lengths packaging to prevent any damage.

-- Custom Cut Matting info --

-- How to Figure Your Matting Size-- The outside dimensions of your mat board should be the same as the stated frame size. Example: If you have an 11" x 14" frame you need an 11" x 14" mat. Note: Frames are made approx. 1/8" bigger than "stated size" to automatically allow room for fit-up with print, photo, artwork, matting etc. An 11" x 14" frame will have a recessed opening on the back that will measure approx. 11.12" x 14.12". The opening dimensions of your mat board should be about 1/4" smaller than your print, photo or art work so you have room to mount it without the edges showing. You will need to allow more for large pictures. Example: An 8" x 10" photo, print, poster etc. would need an opening approx. 7.75" x 9.75".

-- How to Order Double & Triple Mats -- When ordering double matting your top mat board should have the same outside dimensions as the bottom mat board and normally have an opening approx. 1/2 to 1 inch larger than the bottom mat board. For triple matting, all three mats should have the same outside dimensions and each opening from bottom to top should have progressively larger openings normally 1/2 to 1 inch per layer. Hint: When you assemble your double or triple mats use double sided tape between layers to stop any movement when framing.

-- How to Order Matting with Multiple Openings --  If you want to order matting with more than one opening, e-mail us at Give us the outside dimensions of the matting and the size and location of the openings. We will then e-mail you a drawing with all dimensions for your approval. If you approve of the drawing you may then order your mat. You will need to enter "0" x "0" for (opening sizes) and enter the total number of openings in the box provided. When you click on "calculate" the cost for the mat with extra openings entered in box will be displayed. When you check-out make a note in the comments area that you want your matting cut as to your approved drawing.

-- How to Order Bottom Weighted Matting -- If you want your mat board opening cut other than in the center. Make a note in the comments area when you check-out how much and in what direction you want the opening to be.  Example #1: I want my mat opening 1/2" higher in the portrait or landscape format. This would make a centered mat boarder of 2" (top & bottom) into a bottom weighted boarder of 1.5" top and 2.5" bottom. This makes the bottom 1" wider than the top. Example #2: I want my mat opening 1/4" higher in the portrait or landscape format. This would make a centered mat boarder of 2" (top & bottom) into a bottom weighted boarder of 1.75" top and 2.25" bottom. This makes the bottom 1/2" wider than the top.

-- Sample Piece of Matting -- You will receive a sample piece of matting in the color of your choice. (Not a corner sample) Samples will be of varying sizes approx. 3" x 8".

-- Matting Only -- With this choice you will receive custom cut matting only, in the color, size and quantity of your choice. NOTE # 1: If you order our Regular, Blackcore or Metallic Matting, it is Crescent Decorative Matte "GOOD". It is made of wood pulp that is buffered with calcium carbonate to slow the damage caused by acid and lignin. This matte is good for general use and we use it for all of our personal matting. It is by far the best selling matte. We know some frame shops that use this matte exclusively. NOTE # 2: If you order Crescent Select Matte"BETTER" you will receive acid free & lignin free Conservation Grade Matting. NOTE # 3: If you order Crescent Rag Matting "BEST" you will receive high quality 100% acid free Museum Grade Matting made with cotton. No wood pulp in this matte.

-- Matting with Foamcore Backboard-- With this choice, if you order Regular Mat, Blackcore Mat or Matallic Matting you will receive your custom cut matting with foamcore backboard, cut the same size as the outside size of your matting. NOTE: If you order Conservation Grade or Museum Grade Matting you will receive high quality Archival Foamcore Backboard.

-- Matting with Foamboard & Crystal Clear Acrylic -- With this choice, if you order Regular Mat, Blackcore Mat or Matallic Mat you will receive your custom cut matting with foamcore backboard & crystal clear acrylic, all cut the same size as the outside size of your matting. NOTE: If you order Conservation Grade or Museum Grade Matting you will receive high quality Archival Foamcore Backboard. Our acrylic is .100 thick (2.5 mil, same as Premium Glass) it will come with a protective film that you can easily peal off. Note: Our acrylic blocks 92% of Harmful UV Rays. This is very close to the UV protection you get from much more expensive conservation glass.

-- Shipping -- We normally ship within a few days of receiving an order. You will receive a tracking no. from FedEx upon shipment. Packaging: Matting is wrapped in packing paper and then packed between four layers of cardboard for good protection. Large orders will be shipped in a box. We take great care packaging to prevent any damage. We insure all shipments, if your matting is damaged it will be replaced at no charge.
